Jia-yue Ding (b.1998) is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and cultural organizer based in Shanghai. She received her bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Art History from UCLA in 2021. She is the co-founder of art collectives 沉洞泉Cenote Cosmos, 透明的下午Transparent Afternoon, and the Deaf-friendly club label BassBath. Her work spans socially engaged art, performance, writing, and lens-based media.
Jia’s practice centers on Spiritual Activism, exploring the intersection of transcendental awareness, body politics, and social action. She works along and beyond the established rules and lived realities, dissolving the boundaries imposed by systems of power through playful, everyday yet mystical approaches. Jia views collaboration as the smallest unit of revolution, fostering decentralized, inclusive spaces for connection and collective transformation.
Her past projects have been shown in Rockbund Museum, TANK Shanghai, Beijing Riverside Art Museum, Shanghai Himalaya Museum, DuoLun Museum of Modern Art, Vice China, Jiazazhi, Arnaya Art Center, XRK Psychiatric Ward, the Kindergarten Without Walls etc.
丁佳悦/胖丁 (b.1998) 现居上海，是一名游走于艺术、文字、社群实践和神秘学的跨学科创作者，她于2021年获得加州大学洛杉矶分校社会学和艺术史双学位。
胖丁探索内在超验经历与外在社会行动的交汇。她关注灵性行动主义（Spiritual Activism）和身体政治， 并通过对濒死体验的研究，探索“失身”/“失声”状态中共存的结构压迫与精神解脱。她结合社会参与性艺术、剧场、影像、文字等媒介，时常灵魂出体般化作星星、拟声词、或是一碗汤，用日常轻盈的社会介入方式，亦或梦幻的异世界观，融化既有的规则，游走于维度的边境。同时，她将合作看作关怀和互助的实践，与多元伙伴共同实验去中心与无障碍的场域。
她是艺术实践项目“沉洞泉”、“透明的下午”和聋人友好派对厂牌“BassBath低音浴“的创始成员。她过去的项目实施于外滩美术馆、上海喜马拉雅美术馆，多伦美术馆、北京山水美术馆，油罐艺术中心、Imaginary Z、阿那亚、Bie别的、System、Graphite Journal、无墙幼儿园、武汉馨润康精神病院等。她的摄影作品集曾由假杂志出版。
